This Privacy Policy explains how BURABICA SOFTWARE LTD (“BURABICA,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information when you use the ONN TV Remote iOS application (the “App”) or visit this website (the “Website”).
1. Who we are
BURABICA SOFTWARE LTD is the developer and provider of the App. The App does not require you to create an account or provide your name or email address. Privacy questions can be sent to admin@burabicasoftware.com.
2. Information processed by the App
Local network and television information
To find and control a compatible television, the App requests local-network access and uses Bonjour to discover compatible services. It may process the following information locally on your iPhone:
- television and service name;
- local network host or address and port;
- pairing status and timestamps;
- cryptographic fingerprints used to recognize a paired television;
- a pairing identity generated for the App; and
- the pairing code displayed by your television.
This information is used to discover, pair with, reconnect to, and control a television on your local network. Television names, local addresses, pairing codes, cryptographic fingerprints, and remote-command payloads are not sent to BURABICA, Mixpanel, or Adapty.
Saved televisions, pairing fingerprints, and the App’s pairing identity are stored in the iOS Keychain. App preferences are stored locally using iOS preferences. You can remove saved televisions in the App. iOS may retain Keychain items after an app is deleted; BURABICA cannot access these items remotely.
Product interaction analytics
We use Mixpanel to understand whether important parts of the App work and how the App can be improved. The App may send limited events such as App opened, onboarding progress, discovery and pairing outcomes, screens opened, paywall actions, broad purchase or restore outcomes, and broad remote-command categories.
The actual pairing code, television name or address, keyboard text, and command content are not sent. Our Mixpanel configuration does not use IDFA, does not use IP addresses to derive location, disables automatic event collection and feature flags, and uses a random identifier for the current App launch rather than a stable user-account identifier. Mixpanel may process technical details such as App version, iOS version, device model, timestamps, and event-processing metadata.
Purchases and premium access
The App uses Apple StoreKit and Adapty to display App Store pricing, process the Lifetime Pro purchase, restore purchases, show paywalls, and determine whether premium access is active. Apple processes your payment method; BURABICA does not receive your full payment-card details.
Adapty may process an anonymous SDK profile identifier, device and App information, paywall and purchase actions, App Store product and transaction information, price, currency, status, and entitlement status. The App configures Adapty with IP-address collection, IDFA collection, and advertising attribution disabled.
Support communications
If you contact us, we receive the email address you use, your message, and any screenshots or technical details you choose to provide. Do not send pairing codes, passwords, payment-card details, or other sensitive information.
Website information
Our website-hosting and security providers may process routine request information, including IP address, browser type, requested page, date and time, and security logs, as needed to deliver and protect the Website. The Website does not use advertising cookies or cross-site advertising trackers.
3. Why we process information
We process information to:
- discover and connect to compatible televisions;
- provide remote-control functionality and remember paired devices;
- provide, validate, and restore purchases and show local App Store pricing;
- diagnose problems, provide support, and improve App reliability;
- prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents; and
- comply with legal obligations.
Where applicable, our legal bases are performance of our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the App, compliance with legal obligations, or another lawful basis available under applicable law.
4. Service providers and disclosures
We use:
- Apple for App Store distribution, StoreKit, payments, and restoration;
- Adapty for paywalls, purchase status, and premium access;
- Mixpanel for limited product interaction analytics; and
- our website-hosting and security providers to deliver this Website.
We may also disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with law, enforce our rights, protect users or the public, investigate fraud or security incidents, or complete a corporate transaction.
5. No advertising tracking or sale
The App does not display third-party advertising. We do not use the AppTrackingTransparency framework because the App does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies for targeted advertising or ad measurement. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
6. Data retention
Local television and pairing information remains on your device until you remove saved televisions, remove the relevant Keychain data, or reset the device. Analytics, purchase, support, and security records are retained only as reasonably necessary for their stated purposes, provider settings, fraud prevention, accounting, and legal obligations.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures. Pairing credentials and saved television records use the iOS Keychain; compatible televisions communicate over protected local connections; and provider traffic uses encrypted network connections. No security method is completely risk-free.
8. International transfers
Service providers may process information outside your country. Where required, transfers rely on lawful safeguards such as adequacy decisions or standard contractual clauses.
9. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or obtain a portable copy of personal information, and to complain to a data-protection authority. Email admin@burabicasoftware.com to make a request.
Because the App has no accounts and analytics is not linked to your name or email, we may be unable to identify particular analytics events as yours. Local pairing data exists only on your device and cannot be accessed remotely by BURABICA.
10. Children’s privacy
The App is a general-audience utility and does not ask for names, email addresses, or other direct identifiers. Contact us if you believe a child provided personal information through a support request.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the App, Website, providers, or legal requirements change. We will update the effective date and provide any notice required by law.
